Who or what is AEGIS? 

When Ann Michaud founded AEGIS-Michaud Properties, Inc. in 1995, she chose the name AEGIS because of its significance and historical meaning.  According to the “Dictionary of Word Origins” by John Ayto, published by Arcade Publishing, Inc., New York, 1990, the word aegis came to English directly from Latin.  “The notion of ‘protection’ contained in this word goes back to classical mythology, in which one of the functions or attributes of the Greek god Zeus (and later of Roman Jupiter or Minerva) was the giving of protection.  This was usually represented visually as a shield…”

This “notion of protection” appealed to Ann in selecting her company name because it conveys her overall philosophy in providing Real Estate services.  Also, the shield in the logo further reflects the historical protection concept and serves as a continuous reminder of AEGIS’ commitment of Excellence to our clients.

 

We specialize in residential sales, working with both the home seller and the home buyer, mostly in the resale of existing homes in the upscale residential areas.  We help people find fine homes in all price ranges throughout the Montgomery area. 

 

 

ANN MICHAUD     Broker/Owner

With over 30 years of Real Estate experience, Ann Michaud succeeds at matching people up with their dream home.  An Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Ann has completed many hours of advanced study in listing, selling, law and investment taxes.  She has the education and experience to guarantee that her clients receive the very best service possible.  Ann has an active marketing program and is a dedicated, full-time REALTOR® and a licensed broker.  She is a past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR), a member of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and serves on the Board of Directors for The Boys and Girls Clubs.  The combination of her education, experience and involvement in numerous professional associations is tantamount to her success in Real Estate.

Sandi Aplin  Associate Broker, CRS, GRI

Sandi Aplin has been a highly respected REALTOR® in the tri-county area for over 32 years.  Born in Montgomery, she lives in the Cloverdale area.  Sandi believes in giving back to the community.  Some of her past contributions include working with the Heart Association, Hospice, Kid One, Sunshine Center and the Cancer Society.   She is currently very active in the running of the neighborhood co-op art gallery, Gallery One, and serves on the Women's Philanthropy Board in the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University.  A Broker Associate, Sandi has the knowledge and experience needed to give her clients the very best service in the ever-changing Real Estate market.   

 

 

Nan Fowler  ABR, REALTOR®

Nan Fowler is a seasoned REALTOR® with 9 years of Real Estate sales experience.  She has 15 years previous experience as a paralegal in Real Estate law, which is an added value in her Real Estate sales career.  She enjoys Auburn football, Braves baseball, and spending time with her family at Lake Martin.  Born and raised in Montgomery, Nan is knowledgeable and professional.  A dedicated REALTOR®, Nan is a valuable asset to my team.

 

  

Michelle Wassweiler Associate Broker, ABR, CRS 

Michelle has been a dynamic Real Estate agent for over 7 years.  She has previous experience in sales and advertising which compliment her Real Estate career well.  Michelle is married to Mark Wassweiler, an architect.  They enjoy remodeling old homes together and are currently building a log cabin at Lake Jordan.  As both a licensed Associate Broker and an Accredited Buyer Representative, Michelle has completed many hours of advanced study.  Warm and friendly, Michelle has a positive attitude and is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients.      

 

Chrissy Bianchi Associate Broker

 Chrissy Bianchi comes to AEGIS from a sales and accounting background.  She received her degree from Auburn University and has been a resident of Alabama for the past 18 years.  Chrissy has three daughters, Maria, Andrea and Geena.  With 4 years experience in Real Estate, she enjoys waterskiing, running, tennis and spending time with her family.  She is an outstanding Realtor® and a great addition to our team.

 

 

 

 Anna Kate Ingram Associate Broker 

Born and raised in Pike Road, Anna Kate graduated from Auburn University with a degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing.  She has had phenomenal sales in her 3 years in the Real Estate business!  Prior to her career in Real Estate, Anna Kate used her sales and marketing background in politics and in the auction and automobile business.  She is married to Bruce Bowen and enjoys horseback riding, tennis and spending time with her family.  Energetic and enthusiastic, Anna Kate understands the service industry and is ready to help you with your Real Estate needs. 

 

 

 

 

 Kate Baggiano, REALTOR®

Born and raised in Bulgaria, Kate has gained international experience in sales and customer service for 15 years. Prior to her career in Real Estate, Kate owned and managed a retail business in her hometown of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, worked with the leader in hospitality industry, The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai, UAE, Gulf Air in Bahrain, and was the leading Leasing Consultant at Lincoln Towers in Arlington, VA. She loves pets, enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with her family. With 15 years of experience in customer service centered sales, Kate Baggiano will provide you with outstanding results in your Real Estate transaction.

Pam Parco

Pam Parco holds a graduate degree from the University of Colorado as well as undergraduate degrees from CSU and Arizona.  She has a refined knowledge of the education system in Montgomery having worked in both public and private school systems.  She is passionate about reading, cooking and relaxing, but more than anything else, she enjoys quality time with her husband and two teenage daughters. Pam is fluent in American Sign Language.  Having the personal experience of buying and selling property and moving seven times with the US Air Force, Pam understands first-hand what buyers and sellers go through during the relocation process.  She and her family are proud to call Montgomery home.  She is looking forward to helping you with your next move.

 

 

  

Sally Byrd  Associate Broker

Sally Byrd is my dedicated Real Estate assistant and property manager.  She earned a degree in business from Auburn University.  Sally has moved many times in her life as the daughter of an USAF colonel.  A resident of Montgomery since 1978, Sally has had her Real Estate license for 14 years.  She and her husband, Chuck, are the parents of a daughter, Sarah.    Sally enjoys Auburn football games, motorcycle riding, white water rafting and spending time with family and friends at Lake Martin.  A good listener, Sally is patient and understands the needs of our clients.    

 

Shirley Taber  Office Manager

Shirley Taber has been with AEGIS for 9 years.  She has 27 years experience in the Real Estate industry.  Shirley and her husband, Paul, have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and a shitzu (Ms Lillie).  They enjoy antiques, entertaining, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  Shirley is the office manager and bookkeeper for AEGIS.  I am happy to have her on board. 

 

 

Kelli Gilliam  Advertising Coordinator

Kelli Gilliam has been with AEGIS for 7 years.  She has 11 years previous experience in Real Estate Advertising.  Kelli and her husband Don have a son, Devin.  As the advertising coordinator, Kelli photographs our listings, creates feature sheets for each property, prepares ads for the newspaper and Homes magazines and keeps the website current.  She makes sure that our properties get the maximum exposure that they deserve.

 

Barbara Mann  Receptionist

In addition to answering the phones, Barbara coordinates showing appointments and does follow up calls after appointments for feedback.  Barbara and her husband, Rick have 2 children, Andrea and Wesley and a Jack Russell (Boss).  She has an outgoing personality and enjoys interracting with people.  As a former business owner and interior decorator, she is familiar with the importance of good customer service.
